Natural Sapphire – Sri Lanka
Known for producing sapphires of bright pure colors, from blue to pink to yellow, Sri Lanka has long been recognized as the source for some of the finest sapphires in the World. While most of the sapphires seen in today’s markets have been color and clarity enhanced by high temperature heat treatments, the rarest and most valuable sapphires are those that are found in nature already with the desirable color and clarity to produce a fine finished gem. We go to great lengths to insure that all of our Sri Lanka sapphires are natural and have not been enhanced or treated in any way. Each of our sapphires has been examined for indications of heat treatment by an independent gemological laboratory and is accompanied by a corresponding lab report showing that the stones are natural and have not been treated. Sapphire is a very durable gem suitable for everyday wear in rings and makes an excellent more personal alternative to diamonds for bridal jewelry. Sapphire is also the traditional birthstone for people born in the month of September.
