Fire Agate
Fire Agate – Slaughter Mt., Arizona
With a play of colors to rival fine opal, from bright red and orange
to intense greens, blues and purple, and with the hardness and durability
of agate; Fire Agate is one of the most unique, rare and sought after
gem chalcedonies in the world. Slaughter Mt. on the San Carlos Apache
Indian Reservation in Arizona has long been recognized for producing
the finest Fire Agates in the world especially prized for their bright
intense colors. Mining and trade in Slaughter Mt. Fire Agate is carried
out by members of the San Carlos Tribe, our friends; Mike, Ray, and
Charles Vargas.
